Terms & Conditions for Text Messaging

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the text messaging (SMS/MMS) program operated by Bobby Hanig for Congress (“Campaign,” “we,” or “us”). By opting in to receive text messages, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Program Overview
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from the Campaign. Messages may include:
- Campaign updates and announcements
- Event notifications and volunteer opportunities
- Voter engagement and informational messages
- Fundraising and donation requests
Message frequency may vary based on campaign activity.
Voluntary Participation
Participation in the Campaign’s text messaging program is voluntary.
- Providing your mobile number is not required to access campaign information, attend events, or make a donation.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or donation.
Opt-In Consent
You may opt in by:
- Submitting your phone number through a Campaign website or form
- Texting a keyword to a Campaign phone number
- Providing your phone number at a Campaign or volunteer event
By opting in, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from the Campaign at the number you provide.
Opt-Out & Support
- STOP: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe
- HELP: Reply HELP for assistance
- Opt-out requests are processed immediately
After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages unless you re-subscribe.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. The Campaign is not responsible for any charges incurred.
Supported Carriers & Delivery
Text message delivery is subject to mobile carrier availability and conditions. The Campaign is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy & Data Use
Your participation is also governed by the Campaign’s Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.
- We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers for commercial marketing purposes
- We do not collect payment or financial information via text message
- Information is used solely for Campaign communications and compliance

Third-Party Messaging Providers
The Campaign may use third-party service providers to deliver text messages. These providers are contractually required to safeguard your information and use it only for Campaign purposes.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to participate. The Campaign does not knowingly send text messages to individuals under the age of 13.
Changes to Terms
The Campaign reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.
